Grace Caparatta

Grace was born in Orlando, FL, and moved to Camden, DE in 2001. She began riding English after moving to Deleware, and showed in the hunter jumpers division until she graduated high school and moved to PA for college. Grace went to Arcadia University and was a dual major in English and Criminal Justice.

In April of 2012, she started working as a small animal veterinary assistant in shelter and emergency medicine, and ultimately shifted from shelter medicine to general practice. Grace joined the Governor's Avenue Animal Hospital staff in December of 2017, while also working part-time with us at DEC until we needed a full-time tech in September of 2020.

Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are diagnostic imaging and assisting in surgery. Recently, she decided to continue her education for her licensure and plans to pursue a specialty in diagnostic imaging.

In her off time, Grace and her husband JC have a young son and they own 4 dogs, 4 cats, and a snake. She also enjoys puzzles, traveling, and taking the dogs either to go hiking or to the beach.
