Julie was born in Somerset County, New Jersey and grew up on her family's dairy farm assisting with milking cows and other chores related to a dairy farm. Her love for animals started at a very young age, and she made a friend with every other animal on the farm. She would even take her rabbits for walks on a leash! Julie's love for horses started at an early age when she first began her collection of Breyer equine models. Her first horse was a rescued ranch horse whom she shared with her siblings.

Julie came to join the DEC staff in November of 2011 after relocating to Delaware in the early 2000s. Julie is our Equine Office Manager who coordinates both our personnel and client needs. She keeps the office running smoothly in 'behind the scenes' ways such as inventory, laboratory submissions, accounts receivable as well as tending to client needs such as appointment scheduling and answering questions. You could say she's a "Jane of all trades!" Currently, Julie resides with her husband, their two dogs 'Jesse' and 'Fredo', and her horse 'Bubba', a registered American Paint Horse, whom Julie has bred and raised.
