Dr. Michaela Helm grew up in Indiana and attended veterinary school at Purdue University. Prior to joining the Delmarva Equine Clinic, she completed an equine reproduction internship at Equine Reproduction Concepts in northern Virginia. Here she was able to further develop her passion for equine reproductive work. Besides reproduction she also enjoys ophthalmology, preventative medicine, and lameness. Outside of work she enjoys hiking with her adorable Labrador retriever, Jenner, as well as reading and binge watching way too much Netflix. She is looking forward to exploring more of Delaware's beaches and nature and getting back into horseback riding when she isn't busy with her equine patients.
